Add Chinese Input Method keyboard

In Windows 8.1, Microsoft Pinyin Input method is opened in the Simplified Chinese version of Windows by default. However, if you want, you can add the Chinese input keyboard by following these steps.

Swipe from the right edge of the screen to the middle, and click Set. (If you use the mouse, point to the upper-right or lower-right corner of the screen, and then move the pointer down or up, and then click Settings.) )

In the lower-right corner of the screen, click or click "Change computer Settings" to open the computer settings for the modern user interface.

In the list option under Computer Settings, click or click Time and language, and then click or click Regional and language.

Under the Language bar, select Add language

In the list of languages, choose the language you want, such as Chinese (PRC) in Chinese (Simplified)

Modify Input mode

The Windows 8.1 Simplified Chinese Input method supports both Chinese and English input mode switching.

When you are using a touchscreen keyboard, you can switch between Chinese and English by clicking the "Medium/English" toggle key on the touchscreen keyboard.

Simplified Chinese and Microsoft Pinyin Input method is added to complete. You can continue to click "Options" to add the Wubi input method.

When you use the mouse or keyboard, the Chinese input method will have a floating window next to the cursor prompts the current Chinese and English input mode. You can switch by clicking on the left mouse button.

Right-click this window to select Full-width or half-width character input.

If you are using a physical keyboard, you can also switch between the English and Chinese modes by shift (which can be changed to CTRL in the settings) or CTRL + SPACEBAR, and use the shift+ space bar to toggle the full half angle mode.

Toggle Input Method

You can switch input methods in several ways.

Press Windows key + SPACEBAR to switch between input methods.

Under the desktop user interface, click the Input Method icon, and then select the input method from the Input method list.

When using the touch keyboard, press the Input method to select the key, and then select the input method.

Turn on the touch pad

In a modern-style user interface, the touch keyboard opens automatically under the text-editing interface. Under the desktop user interface, you can pull up the touch keyboard in the following ways.

Use the right mouse button to click the taskbar, or to display the taskbar menu directly on the touch screen by clicking the taskbar.

Open the Taskbar menu

Select toolbars and select Touch Keyboard, and the touch keyboard icon appears in the taskbar.

In the text editing interface, you can open the touch pad by clicking the mouse or tapping the icon in the taskbar on the touch screen.

Set different input methods for different application windows

By default, Windows 8.1 maintains the same input method in different application windows. If you need to use different input methods in different application windows, you can change the settings by doing the following.

Click "Control Panel"

Select clock, language, and Zone-> language-> Advanced settings in Control Panel

Under the Toggle Input Method column, select Allow me to set different input methods for each application window.

You can then use different input methods in different application windows.
