Windows 9 Technology Preview is likely to announce at the US-hosted Windows Conference tonight that the next generation of Windows is most likely to be Windows or Windows 9, and that users may be guessing Windows X or Windows one, The answer will be announced at the press conference.

Because the technology Preview is primarily for businesses and developers, this release does not include consumer features like Cortana. But the Cortana resource file is already included in the System Apps folder, suggesting that Cortana will be an app that's updated through the store, and the authorities have the flexibility to control the release.

Windows 9 New Start menu, Notification Hub, and windowing modern app runs will appear in the technical preview version.
