Step 1: hardware connection and Installation
 
First, enter the BIOS settings to enable the integrated Nic on the motherboard. At the same time, insert the independent NIC into the idle PCI slot and connect the two NICs to the LAN port of the Broadband Router with a straight-through twisted pair. Restart Windows XP and automatically install the driver for the two NICs. Open "network connection" and you will see the "local connection" and "local connection 2" connections. The two connections are enabled, and the hardware connection and installation are complete.
 
Step 2: bind a dual-nic
 
Download and install the software NIC Express, which is bound to a dual NIC (http://yncnc.onlinedown.net/soft/36156.htm ). Keep the default value during software installation. Click "Next" and click "Demo" to complete the installation. When you bind two NICs to a new device and virtualize the device, the system prompts "not certified by Microsoft". You can click the "continue" button several times in a row to continue the installation.
 
After the "bind" window appears (see the figure below), enter the name of the bound connection (for example, "Nic binding") in the intermediate text box "), click "Add" to Add the two NICs to the following "Assigned Adpaters. Then go to the NIC Express configuration interface and keep the default value to complete the installation.

Step 3: configure the connection
 
In the "Network Connection" window, an additional "NIC bound to NIC Express Virtual Adapter" connection is displayed and enabled. Now, the two NICs have been successfully bound. You can right-click "Nic binding" to configure IP addresses, subnets, gateways, and other parameters. Set the IP address to the same network segment as the default IP address of the router, and the gateway to the default IP address of the router.
 
Testing speed
 
Now we can test the download of BT. Take BitComet as an example to download a hot movie of MB. In the data traffic window, you can see that both network adapters are transmitting data from the traffic curve monitoring chart and the "task summary" of BitComet. The transmission rate of the dual-nic binding group starts from 80 KB/s and reaches a maximum of kb/s. The average transmission rate of the two NICS is relatively stable. It takes 23 minutes to download a movie of MB, the average download speed is 110KB/s. Using a single Nic to perform the same download task, we found that the maximum speed drops to 67KB/s, and the transmission speed fluctuates greatly. It takes 49 minutes to download the MB movie, the average download speed is 79KB/s.
 
It can be seen that binding a dual-nic can indeed increase the download speed and perform BT download for popular seeds. The two NICs run faster and the download speed is greatly improved. For the cold-door BT seed, generally only one network card is transmitting data, and the two network cards will exchange data transmission, although the real-time network speed is not significantly faster than when using a single network card, however, the download speed will remain stable and the overall consumption time will be shortened.
 
Of course, there is a certain degree of relativity between the network speed-up, it is limited by the physical bandwidth, and the speed of the two NICs bound must be close (if you bind a 10/100 Mbps adaptive NIC with a Mbps Nic, it makes no sense to increase the download speed ). If you have two NICs that are close to each other and share the Internet with the routing device, try again.
