1. Integrate multiple Azure VMS into a unified network segment or subnet

Windows Azure Virtual machine has two IP addresses, public IP (VIP), and private IP. Public IP is common network IP, and private IP is intranet IP. The infrastructure of Azure data center is very powerful, we can realize the fast communication in the data center through private IP.

In the absence of Azure Virtual network, it is not possible for multiple Azure VMs to communicate via private IP because Azure is isolated from security considerations for the VLAN between the VM and the VM. (Of course, you can also communicate with each other by adding multiple Azure VMs to the same availability set.) )

General enterprise-class applications, there will be multiple servers to implement complex business logic. For example, the general B/S application needs Web Server,sql Server. Implementing Web Server and SQL Server with Windows Azure VM and placing it in a unified virtual network enables multiple Azure VMs to communicate with each other via private IP.

2. Fixed public IP and private IP

We know that if there is no azure Virtual network, it is impossible to fix the private IP (intranet IP).

In some scenarios, we need to be fixed. For example, create an active Directory Server in WinDOS Azure, implement SQL Server always-on, and so on. In these cases, using virtual network allows us to fix the private IP.

2. Realize mixed Cloud

A hybrid cloud is a combination of public and private cloud services. With Windows Azure Virtual Network, you can connect the local LAN to the Windows Azure Public cloud and interconnect the local LAN with the public cloud.

Hybrid Cloud is a more respected cloud computing solution for the enterprise in the coming years. The main reasons are as follows: three.

Continuous expansion and investment in local it is not an effective goal of the enterprise.
