Windows cannot be started normally to forcibly format the LINUX partition grub fixmbr fixroot

Fixmbr is used to repair master boot records
Fixboot is used to repair Partition Boot records.

The primary Boot Record is located in the first physical sector of the hard disk.
The Partition Boot Record is located in the first sector of each partition (for example, primary partition C: Logical 1 sector = absolute 63 sectors)

The primary cause of damage to the primary Boot Record is
1. error loading Operating System
2. Missing Operating System
Partition Boot Record Corruption mainly occurs
1. disk error press any key to restart
2. ntldr is missing

Sometimes the Boot Record is damaged: black screen, a cursor flashing in the upper left corner

 

Fixboot
Write a new Partition Boot Sector to the system partition. The fixboot command can be used only when the fault recovery console is used.
Fixboot [Drive]
Parameter drive
The drive to be written to the boot sector. It replaces the default drive (that is, the system partition that the user logs on ). For example, drive: D:

The following command example writes a new Partition Boot Sector to the system partition of drive D:
Fixboot D:
NOTE: If no parameter is specified, the fixboot command writes a new Partition Boot Sector to the system partition that the user logs on.

 

Fixmbr
Fix the master startup record of the disk. The fixmbr command is available only when the fault recovery console is used.
Fixmbr [device_name]
Parameters
Device_name
The device (drive) to write the new Master Boot Record ). The device name can be obtained from the output of the map command. For example, the device name:
\ Device \ harddisk0
Example
The following command example writes a new Master Boot Record to a specified device:
Fixmbr \ device \ harddisk0
Note:
· If device_name is not specified, the new master boot record will be written to the boot device, that is, the drive of the Master System will be loaded.
· If the system detects invalid or non-standard Partition Table tags, it will prompt the user to continue executing the command. Do not continue unless you have problems accessing the drive. Writing a new primary Boot Record to the system partition may damage the partition table and cause the partition to be inaccessible.

 

I installed both XP and Ubuntu on my computer. Later, when I re-adjusted the partition of XP, I accidentally knocked out the partition where ubuntu was located, because grub of Ubuntu is used for multi-system boot, XP cannot be entered, and the system prompts "can not find grub" upon startup. How can we fix the XP boot menu, I did this.

First, use the XP installation disk to boot the system (ghosts' installation disk does not work, and the in-depth Lite version of XP does not work). Follow the prompts to enter the fault recovery console and enter 1 (XP installation drive letter) in sequence) administrator Password (Press enter directly)

Enter fixboot in C: Windows> and enter y as prompted.

Enter fixmbr in C: Windows> and enter y as prompted.

Enter exit in C: Windows>.

In this way, the XP boot menu is successfully repaired.
