Windows Cluster installation: 6) Configure cluster applications

Open "Cluster Manager" on any node and right-click "resource". In the pop-up menu, select "Configure application", for example:

Select "Configure application" and the Wizard Page appears, such:

Click "Next" and select "Create a new virtual server" as the virtual server option appears. For example:

If the "Resource Group" option appears, select "create Resource Group", for example:

Click "Next". The resource group naming page is displayed. Enter the resource group name, for example:

Click "Next". The application Resource Creation confirmation is displayed. Select "yes", for example:

Click "Next" to specify the resource type, for example:

If we do not have good resources, we have to specify "general application" and "Next" to specify the resource name, such:

You can use "Advanced properties" to set resource parameters, such as failover and Response parameters. Use the default value here. Click "Next" to specify application parameters, for example:

You can set it just like creating an application. Note that "using the network name as a computer" here is grayed out. Click "Next" to set the registry key, for example:

Click "Next" to display the completion page, as shown in:

Click "finish" and return to the main interface of the Cluster Manager. Now our new resources appear in the list as an independent group, but they are all offline, for example:

Right-click "My Resource Group" and choose "online" from the shortcut menu to bring up the Resource Group. Then, we can test the failover operation, everything is like the previous application.
