Account Management is an important guarantee for network security. network administrators on campus networks certainly know this, so they will certainly protect their administrator accounts well, however, network administrators can easily ignore small but not small problems.

Generally, you must have a valid account to log on to Windows 2000. Because Windows 2000 Server provides different access permissions for users of different identities based on system and resource security considerations. If the network administrator does not grant the user certain access permissions, the "invalid user" cannot access resources. Therefore, the user must have a valid account to access the server.

We believe that you often use Windows 2000 server as a file server like ours, but it is very troublesome to set an account for everyone. To solve this problem, Windows 2000 Server provides the "Guest" account, which is set for temporary use by users (visitors) who do not have an account on this Server, it has only a few permissions and can only be changed but cannot be deleted. If you do not have a valid account on a network-based computer, you can log on to the Windows 2000 Server and browse shared folders by enabling the Guest account.

It is now summer vacation. for primary and secondary schools, few users are using servers. To ensure security, you need to close the Guest account. The specific operation is: log on to Windows 2000 Server as an administrator, click "start", and find "Management Tools" in "program ", find "Computer Management" in "Management Tools", click "local users and groups" on the left of the window, find "users", and click. "Guest" appears on the right of the window ", right-click "Guest", click "properties" in the pop-up menu, and click "Account Disabled" to select the check box in front of it, as shown in window 1.
