windows 7 with REDHAT7 dual system installation and set default startup Windows 7

Many people in the practice of Linux, want to install a Windows and Linux dual system for easy practice and normal use, after the installation of Windows Startup items will be directly overwritten from the MBR, but usually still with Windows more, in the installation of Windows After 7 and REDHAT7 dual system, want to get the overwritten Windows 7 startup item back up, and turn on boot to Windows 7, below for everyone to share some of my own experience.

One, install Windows and Linux dual system (default is Windows 7 and REDHAT7)

Installation of Windows 7 is not mentioned here.

PS: The special note is that Windows must first install, otherwise the MBR information of Linux will be erased directly.

Here is the installation process for REDHAT7:

1, first use a U disk to burn and enter the installation interface (open F12 that can choose to enter from the USB stick)

Select first: Install Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7.0 Enter

2, then the choice to enter the installation interface:

The choice of language according to individual choice, I here for the default directly into

The classification of three partitions here is sufficient, and the reader can change it by itself;

Select all the following interface, directly select Begin Install:

Create root user and normal user, and enter the installation, waiting time according to the choice of software, image interface installation time is longer. 650) this.width=650; "src=" Http://s2.51cto.com/wyfs02/M00/7F/31/wKiom1cWFMCSIKCJAAH_hjK2Zsg050.png "title=" 18.png "alt=" Wkiom1cwfmcsikcjaah_hjk2zsg050.png "/> After the installation is completed reboot reboot

Second, boot the Windows 7 Startup items and set the default

After the installation restart, the system will automatically default into Linux, the following can be modified by modifying the/boot/grub2/grub.cfg file for Windows 7 Startup item configuration

Edit the Grub.cfg file and add the following code to the original menuentry:

Menuentry ' Windows 7 ' {

Set root= ' HD0,MSDOS1 ' #这里是你Windows 7 of the installation disk, my on msdos1, according to my own changes

Chainloader +1

}

As shown below:

You can also use Grub2-chkconfig-o/boot/grub2/grub.cfg

This allows the system to automatically find the Startup items and automatically add them to the Grub.cfg file, avoiding the possibility of manually modifying the errors that may occur.

Complete the above configuration can be seen in the Boot interface Windows 7 boot boot;

But the default is to enter Linux, which is not comfortable for people who are accustomed to windows, below to share how to set the default startup windows

Because the REDHAT7 is not the same as the previous version, the Setup method is not the same, just execute the following command here.

This completes the Windows and Linux dual system default into Windows settings.
