Yesterday we learned about dynamic tile, which enables your program to let users know important information. Today, let's look at another type of user notification: Toast notification.
If you haven't used Toast notifications before, you may think Toast is a bit silly. In a program, when something happens, the information can pop up on the user's front-end to let the user know.
The main difference between Toast notification and dynamic tile is that, no matter which program the user is currently running, the Toast message will appear on the user's screen, and the dynamic tile must be displayed on the Start Screen.
Toast message is designed to: You need to know the message now !, Dynamic tile is a passive message. When sending a toast message, you need to consider its design purpose. If you send messages similar to spam, you can disable the messages you send. Worse, the user will uninstall your program.
