Make a local data file VHD and upload it to Azure (1)
In the previous section, I described how to upload a local Windows 8 VHD to Windows Azure and create a WIN8 based virtual machine.
We know that the VHD can save not only the operating system, but also the data files.
If I want to upload the local data to Azure Virtual Machine, I can actually make the VHD locally and save the required files to the VHD, and then upload the VHD to the cloud.
In this chapter I will describe how to upload the local office 2013 ISO installation files to the cloud via a VHD.
Before I begin this article, I would like to emphasize the following restrictions on the VHD supported by Windows Azure:
1. Currently only VHD is supported, VHDX is not supported
2. Only fixed-size VHD is supported
3.VHD size must be less than 127G
1. First open the local Hyper-V Manager, click New, Hard Drive
2. Select the VHD in the disk format. Disk type, select fixed size
3. To reduce the speed of uploads, we set the VHD size to 2GB. and save the VHD in the D:\VHD\OFFICE2013.VHD
4. After the completion of the creation. We turn on disk Management for the local computer. The system automatically monitors the VHD created outside, and we select the MBR partition. The following figure:

5. After the partition, click on the disk area, right button, new simple volume, and the corresponding settings. The following figure:
