All operations are performed under the CMD command line.
1. Enter diskpart
2. listdisk: list all physical disks
3. Select disk X, and X is the disk number.
4. Detail Disk: displays the details of the selected disk.
5. Clean can clear all information about the selected disk.
The following section officially starts partitioning.
6. Create partition primary size = 1000000 create a primary partition. The size unit is M.
Active can activate and format the primary partition. After activation, the partition information and the unique active partition mark will be written to the hard disk partition table, so that when the computer is started, the BIOS will detect the Operating System (Io. sys File), and then the operating system starts to control the startup right.
Format quick format partition. If not, right-click the computer, choose manage, and manually format the partition in the Device Manager.
7. Create partition extended creates the remaining extended partitions.
8. List partition: view the created partition.
9. Create partition logical size = XXXX create a logical partition.
List partition to view partition information.
Create partition logical size = XXXX create the second logical partition.
Format it in the Device Manager.
10. If delete partition is created incorrectly, delete it. Note that * focus is on the selected partition in cmd. You can view the list partition.
I am adding a new hard disk after the system is installed, and there is no need to create a primary partition for startup. So I created an extended partition for that disk, and then created two logical partitions on the extended partition. Of course, this disk can also be created into a primary partition, but there can be only four primary partitions at most. A maximum of one extended partition can be created.

Primary, extended, and logical partitions. A hard disk has at least one primary partition and a maximum of four primary partitions. A maximum of one extended partition can exist. The total number of primary and extended partitions cannot exceed 4. There can be several logical partitions. After dividing the primary partition, all the remaining hard disk capacity should be divided into extended partitions. Extended partitions cannot be used directly. You must continue to divide them into several logical partitions. That is to say, logical partitions are divided from extended partitions and are part of extended partitions! The sum of capacity of all logical partitions is equal to that of extended partitions! The hard disk capacity is equal to the size of the primary partition plus the extended partition capacity! The main partition is used by the computer to start the operating system.Program, Should be stored in the primary partition.
