Windows putty xming virt-manager, puttyxming

Record the problem of using virt-manager in linux once.

Environment: windows server 2008 and ubuntu-server

Software: putty, virt-manager, xming

First, install xming in windows. Select the default installation steps. After installation, Click start to run xlaunch.

Then a program is started and displayed in the tray in the lower right corner. move the cursor to the chart.

Remember: Enter the following number, open putty, load the virtual machine, and set the options. Fill in the X display location here in the windows environment machine ip address plus the displayed Xmin Server: the following number, which must be the same

Open the VM and run virt-manager.

! Note: Do not enter the root user. If you enter the root user, you cannot open virt-manager. I don't know why. If you know more, please contact us.

Then you can see the virt-manager interface in windows.

 

If Error: Can't open display: XXXX occurs, first enter the root user and set the environment variable.

Export DISPLAY = FIG: 0.0

Then exit the root user and run the virt-manager program.
