First, the preparatory work:

1. Prepare the Windows Me Simplified Chinese version of the CD and check the optical drive for support from boot.
2. If possible, scan all hard drives with ScanDisk before running Setup to check for hard drive errors and fix them, otherwise setup will be troublesome if you check for hard drive errors when you run the program.
3. Use paper to record the product key of the installation file (installation serial number).
4. When possible, use the driver Backup tool (such as: Driver Wizard V1.9 Beta.exe) to back up all the drivers in the original Windows Me to the hard disk (for example, F:\Drive). It is best to note the motherboard, network card, graphics and other major hardware models and manufacturers, download the driver in advance standby.
5. If you want to format C or D in the installation process (the recommended format for the installation of C disk), please back up the C disk or D disk useful data.
6. You must have an active partition in the FAT or FAT32 file system format, Windows me can only be installed in the FAT or FAT32 file system format partition, the recommended partition space is greater than 2G

Third, install Windows ME
After the CD has been started, if you can see the boot interface without an accident, it will appear as shown in Figure 1 below, such as the disc can not be started, can be started with me or 98 boot floppy (set the floppy drive as the first boot disk).
