After waiting for many days, I finally got a Windows Phone 7: Samsung Focus. I have not changed my cell phone for five years. I have a smartphone with a processor clock speed of 1 GB and memory of hundreds of MB. The biggest shock is a 4-inch screen with a resolution of 800*480. After three days, I decided to share and discuss the experience on my blog.
I believe everyone has seen the WP7 interface. The seemingly simple cube outlines the style, button animation,ProgramSwitching animations is also simple and elegant. It is said that the new Windows 8 is in this style. If you have aesthetic fatigue on the iPhone and Android interfaces, you can just give it a try. It may be because the Samsung mobile phone screen uses Super AMOLED, which consumes a lot of power. It basically only supports one day to play games online. This may be a common problem with smartphones. We hope that in the future, when considering other cool functions, we should also consider the standby time.
WP7 integrates Windows Live. When used for the first time, it will use your live ID and password to log on, and then automatically import the contacts on live as the phone book. Of course, this may not be a habit of most users, because generally phone contacts and Windows Live contacts are not hooked up, especially in China. The phone book is a mix of phone contacts and live contacts. At least you have to spend a few hours to associate them one by one. Currently, WP7 does not support Chinese Input, copy, and paste, # (* & $ #! However, we can see that Microsoft is committed to integrating all user communication information with Windows Live.
Smartphones mainly look at applications, such as outlook, Hotmail, Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Sharepoint workplace) integrated with WP7, and IE, basic office functions are certainly satisfied. The interface and menu make you worry about whether it is a demo version, because compared to the complex Windows version of the interface, the black and white text menus and icons look pale, but maybe this is the latest design that advocates fashion. IE supports multi-tab browsing. You can set the desktop or mobile phone mode. Flash is not supported, and text is not supported (only one word can be selected ). Other applications and games are relatively small at the moment, and many seemingly better applications are not free of charge. However, I believe that more applications will be applied after WP7 is sold. Because Chinese input methods are not supported for the moment, there will be fewer Chinese applications, but there is an application that sends Chinese text messages. Several free games from Microsoft are good: ilomilo and unite.
Zune can be used to sync music and videos on mobile phones. However, the software imposes some restrictions. By default, the computer's resource manager cannot browse pictures, music, and videos on mobile phones, you can change the computer registry. When I started using WP7, I thought I was missing something. Later I found that I didn't even have the resource manager on my mobile phone. I didn't even know how to upload the Word and Excel documents on my computer to my mobile phone, you can only send emails to yourself ...... No Bluetooth connection is successful yet. But can text-oriented e-books only support one web server in the LAN, and then use a browser to see it?
The system settings are also greatly simplified. You can only choose the built-in system for ringtones. It is said that the system will be improved in future versions. The setting of GPRS or 3G Internet access is also very simple. No changes are required by default. Wi-Fi connection is much simpler than the original WM connection, probably because the user does not need to know so much details, and only needs to enter a password to connect to his AP. The IP address and gateway of the mobile phone cannot be set, and DNS and proxy can be set.
WP7 supports the Silverlight and xNa frameworks, but if you want to deploy it on your mobile phone, you need to register a paid member on the Microsoft development website and then unlock it. I don't know when the unlock can be cracked. :) In addition, currently the Silverlight framework is based on silverlight3, and socket connection is not supported. Only webrequest can be used.
in short, the prospects for WP7 are still good, but it takes time to gradually mature and integrate into the market.
