Windows Phone Developer Tools for Mango

The new version of Windows Phone Developer Tools has released version 7.1 Beta. According to old Bao, the Mango system has more than 500 new features. However, I cannot make any statistics. I believe that old Bao is not a good player. I will not talk about the features of Mango for the moment. Now that the new Developer Tools are available, Let's first look at what new things it has for developers.

If you haven't downloaded Windows Phone Developer Tools 7.1 Beta, you can download it here. If you think Web installation is slow, you can download the ISO format (about 700 MB ). After installation, you can start VS2010 directly.

New project template

Open VS2010. In the new project, we can see that there are several new templates in Windows Phone: "3D Graphics Application", "Audio Playback Agent", "Audio Streaming Agent", and "Task Scheduler Agent ".

Mango Simulator

You must pay special attention to the Windows Phone development simulator. Yes, this update simulator is also upgraded to Mango. Although the new operating system has not yet been released, try using the Mango simulator first. The first concern is Chinese support and Chinese input. The following two figures show that Mango supports Chinese. This may be the reason for the limitations of the simulator. You can only use the Pinyin Input Function (supports Lenovo ), the handwriting method cannot be tested.

 

On the Application List page, you can also see the application search function mentioned in MIX 11. You can also search in Marketplace.

 

The "Background Service" function is also found in Settings to display the applications running in the background.
