Windows Phone's first update

Update Problems

Two days ago, Microsoft was notified that it was preparing to make the first update on the 21st day of the US time. Due To nda restrictions, the message can only be published after today. However, this update does not contain Copy & paste. The copy & Paste feature has been added to the development tool in January and can be debugged on the simulator. ManyProgramIt is automatically supported without recompilation, unless textbox is placed under the panorama control.

 

No matter how it is, it is the first update, and we are very much looking forward to it. Users who want to experience and share with WP7 developers and fans in the first time. However, the system has not been notified of updates for many times. I don't know when to update the notification, but Microsoft is really not so powerful this time.

 

Normally, connect Windows Phone 7 to Windows 7. Then open Zune software and view the update information in Settings> Update. However, my Zune software does not prompt that my mobile phone is the latest, so it cannot be linked to the Update Service. Dizzy ......

 

 

Normal update process

If you want to get an Upate notification, you need to check the update notification in Settings> system> phone update of Windows Phone, as shown in.

Once there is an update notification, the mobile phone will prompt you, you can know that this is not a general toast notification (about push notification), you can refer to my video msdn webcast Silverlight for Windows Phone development series video. Our third-party developers cannot do this toast, for example.

Then, connect your phone to a Windows computer and open Zune software. Click Upate to display the following update images.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

After the update, the OS version number is changed from 7004 to 7008, which is only a small change. nodo needs to wait until the next month.

Notes for updates

Because the update notification is published by some carriers, mobile phones without SIM cards may not receive the update notification, or the mobile phones without Windows Phone may not receive the update notification. It is said that the solution is to directly open Zune software's settings-> Update, force the phone to update, but I did not succeed.

 

The update will invalidate chevronwp7. If you need to unlock it unofficial, you 'd better wait and see.
