Experimental purpose: Delete a subdomain without a controller.
Experimental environment: Virtual Machine 2 units
VM1:192.168.0.1/24 dc.abc.com primary domain controlled Windows Server 2012R2 Evaluation Edition
VM2:192.168.0.2/24 DC2 Windows Server 2012r2
Lab steps:
1, VM2:
1.1 Add vm2 to abc.com, step slightly;
1.2 Upgrade the VM2 domain controller;
1.3 The VM2 configuration domain controller is a subdomain of abc.com, dc2.son.abc.com
2, VM1:
Check if the subdomain is configured to complete
2.1AD services and sites to see if there is a VM2 subdomain controller
2.2 Domain trust relationship, see if the abc.com domain trusts son.abc.com
2.3ps:dsduery server to see if there are dc2.son.abc.comup
3, Snapshot vm1, close vm2
4, VM1:
Ps>ntdsutil
Ntdsutil.exe>metadata cleanup cleanup of unused servers
Metadata cleanup>connections connecting to the server
Server connections>connect to server dc.abc.com link to primary domain controller
Server Connections>quit exits after successful connection
Metadata cleanup>select opreation Target Select Site Server domain role and naming
Select Operation target>list Site View the list of sites to see the ID of the server without the entity computer, assuming the number 0,
Select Operation Target>select Site 0 Choose the server of ID 0, according to the actual situation selected sites
Select operation target>list Domains View list of domains
Select operation Target>list Server for domain is site to view servers within the domain of the sites, see the ID of the server being deleted assuming 0
Select operation Target>select Server 0
Select Operation Targer>quit launch choose Server Target command line
Metadata Cleanup>remove Select Server deletes the server within the subdomain, if there are multiple servers, repeat the above until the server in the domain is removed cleanly
Metadata Cleanup>remove Select Domain point y confirm, Delete selected subdomains
Metadata Cleanup>quit exit data Cleanup command line
Ntdsutil.exe>partition Management Role Manager
Partition management>list display domain role information for all DCS find subdomain DNS server FQN information, locate subdomain information
Partition management>delete NC dc=domaindnszones,dc=son,dc=abc,dc=com Delete subdomain information
Partition Management>list confirm whether to delete
Partition Management>quit exit
Ntdsutil.exe>quit Exit Ntdsutil tool
5. AD Sites and services find all server information within son.abc.com, right-click Delete
6, AD Domain and trust relationship-->abc.com right--look at the Trust menu, find Son,abc,con Point Delete
7. VM1 DNS Management Tools
7.1 Found son.abc.com right-click Delete
7.2 After restarting, check the DNS management tool within the abc.com for information about son.abc.com within the server to find the removal.
