This chapter simply shows you how to create a new domain link and adjust the replication schedule. In many situations in the production environment, we need to manually create Site replication links and adjust the replication schedule to reduce network pressure based on the actual bandwidth situation. Deploying multiple domain controllers within a site, replication links between domain controllers are recommended for automatic generation through the KCC. We can also create replication links manually. (A lot of friends are asking, why do you choose to update such a simple question, please refer to the first few chapters of the Windows Server 2016 series) and hopefully help more readers in need.
First, create a new replication link:
1. Open the Active Directory Site and Services control window, under a site, right-click NTDS Settings to select new Active Directory Domain Services Link:
2. In the Find Active Directory domain Controllers window, double-click to select an available domain controller:
3. Enter a new linked object name and determine:
4. The new link was created successfully as follows:
5. We can right-click to select the corresponding link, copy immediately, data information synchronization:
6. Tip Active Directory Domain Services has replicated the connection, click OK to finish.
Second, adjust the replication time:
2.1. Right-click the link to adjust the site link synchronization time, select Properties:
2.2. Select Change Schedule in the General Properties screen:
2.3. According to the actual situation, select the corresponding synchronization time. Replication between domain controllers within a site defaults to 4 times per hour.
