Today we mainly introduce the Windows SERVER2016 installation and configure DFS implementation data replication, what is DFS? DFS is the Microsoft File distribution system, a network server component that makes it easier for you to query and manage data on the network. Distributed file system is to combine files distributed on different computers into a single namespace, and make it easier to create a single, hierarchical multi-file server and server sharing network, making it easier for users to access and manage files that are physically distributed across the network. DFS provides a single point of access and a logical tree structure for the file system, through DFS, where users do not need to know their physical location when accessing files, that is, files distributed across multiple servers are in the same place as the network. With DFS, you can organize shared folders on different computers in the same network to form a separate, logical, and hierarchical shared file system. The physical storage resources managed by the file system are not necessarily connected directly to the local node, but are connected to the nodes through the computer network. The design of a distributed file system is based on client/server mode. A typical network might include multiple servers for multiple users to access. In addition, the peer-to feature allows some systems to play the dual role of the client and server. For example, a user can "post" a directory that allows other clients to access, and once accessed, this directory is like a local drive to the client.
