Windows System file Synchronization tips

to sync two batches of files, some might say it's as easy as an elephant's fridge. In fact, the file synchronization is not as simple as I thought. According to the different requirements and environment, file synchronization has different attention.

1. Synchronization of local two batches of documents

Two basic methods are available if you want to synchronize content for the local two folders. One is to use the automatic coverage function of Windows, the second is to complete with the help of synchronization software.

Suppose there are two folders TEST1 and TEST2, and the number and content of the files are different, our goal is to require the same files in both folders, and to ensure that the file version is up to date. Take a Windows 10 system, for example, if you use a system-self-contained feature, you can do the following.

Copy all the files under TEST1, and then switch to the TEST2 folder to perform the paste. At this point, if there is no file in the TEST1 TEST2, you will not be prompted to automatically copy to TEST2, if there are files in TEST1 file TEST2 also have the same file name but different content, will pop up as shown in the action hint (Figure 1). At this point, you can determine the file's version to be old by modifying the date of the two files listed in the window. Select Do not copy if the file in TEST2 is updated, or copy and replace if the file in TEST1 is updated. You can then copy the files from the TEST2 in the same way and reverse the TEST1 folder. This ensures that the files in the two folders are consistent.

Small tip:

There is also a special case in which one is not sure whether the documents with different dates are necessary for reservations. For insurance purposes, you can keep two versions of the file and choose Copy, but keep these two files. In this way, the latter of the file with the same name is automatically named as a file with the plus ordinal (2) suffix.

The above manual synchronization two folders, the operation is more cumbersome and error prone, bad will be useful files or content covered. To avoid this, synchronization of the two folders can be accomplished with the help of the synchronization software beyond compare. The session Selection window is displayed after the software is started, in which the Sync folder item is selected (Figure 2). Then go to the Folder Synchronization window, the left and right side of each load to sync the folder, the bottom pane will immediately automatically display two folders in the file differences, click the middle of the window "Sync Now" button, you can quickly achieve the contents of two folders synchronization (Figure 3)

2. Synchronization of two batches of documents on the Internet

Today's files are not just saved on a local disk. Many people save files to cyberspace and, for security, save 2 or more backups in different storage spaces. In this way, you need to ensure that the two files on the web can also maintain the same content. The resource synchronization in the network cloud space is divided into the same kind of cloud disk resource synchronization and different kinds of cloud disk resource synchronization.

For the two different accounts of a similar cloud disk, if you want to keep your content synchronized, you can create an encrypted shared link on a folder in a cloud (Figure 4), and then access the resource link in another cloud disk and save the folder that the link points to in a network folder with the same name. In this way, if a file of the same name exists, the cloud disk automatically generates a backup file with an ordinal number or gives a processing hint. Then enter the cloud disk, according to the date of the duplicate file.

For different kinds of cloud disk resources, we can realize the interworking of two kinds of cloud disk resources by means of sharing the local synchronization folder of cloud disk. After you share a local folder, you encounter a version conflict file, and the cloud disk creates a copy under its own folder. After the synchronization is complete, you can go to different cloud disks and dispose of redundant expired files.

3. Local sync with network files

The synchronization of local resources and files in cyberspace can be accomplished with the help of the folder synchronization function of the cloud disk. For example, in the 360 cloud disk, select Sync folder under the Feature Encyclopedia window, and then specify the local folder to sync and the Sync folder in the cloud, and the files at both ends of the folder are automatically synchronized (Figure 5).

4. Synchronization across different devices

At present, multi-platform coexistence, mobile for the king of the Times, across different devices, different kinds of systems between the file synchronization has universal significance. If you sync files between an Apple iOS device and another device, you can install the file Master APP. The "Master of Files" app has versions of Android and iOS in different categories, installing the corresponding version of the app on the appropriate device also appears in the File Management window of a browser or FTP file sharing class similar to the above virtual data cable, where Cross-platform data exchange and file synchronization are possible (Figure 7 )。
