Windows system uses Putty remote connection Digitalocean created Linux system (CentOS6.7 for example)

Most VPS sites provide a console interface on the site to facilitate remote VPS operation. But the use of particularly inconvenient, especially in a magical country, open foreign sites are difficult, not to mention also on the site constantly operating. This tutorial records how to use putty to remotely manipulate VPS under Windows systems.

First, the Environment configuration

A CentOS host, I use the Digitalocean host, CentOS6.7 32-bit system, other places to buy the host should be the same, the main thing is to add an SSH key at the time of creation.

Second, create SSH key

With SSH keys, you can use putty to connect to a Linux system, where you create an SSH key pair using the tool Puttygen putty the accompanying creation of the SSH key. All tools can be downloaded by themselves or can be downloaded directly from this article.

Open Puttygen.exe, click Generate

Then use your mouse to swipe over the blue area marked above to generate a random key.

Click the Mark button to save the private key file for backup.

Third, create the host

After entering Digitalocean, register an account and log in. Click the Create Droplet button in the top right corner of the webpage to start creating a VPS (Digitalocean a VPS called a droplet).
