Windows Vista System minimum Configuration requirements

Microsoft, together with Intel, AMD, ATI and Nvidia, released the basic recommended configuration requirements for Windows Vista certified PCs. Many common hardware appears in the list, so users who buy computers in recent years can be reassured. The recommended configuration requirements are as follows (including but not limited to):

-MB memory

-Use any of the following Cpu:intel core Duo, Intel Core Solo, Intel Pentium M, Mobile Pentium 4 (no Hyper-Threading technology is available), Intel Celeron M, Intel Xeon (dual-core Heart), Intel Pentium Extreme Edition (Dual core), Intel Pentium with Hyper-Threading Technology 4 Extreme Edition, Pentium D (dual-core), Intel Pentium with Hyper-Threading Technology 4, Ce Leron D, or

-AMD Athlon FX (single/Dual core), AMD Athlon, AMD Sempron, AMD Turion Mobile, mobile AMD Athlon, Mobile AMD Sempron, AMD Opteron (single/Dual core)

-Use any of the following graphics chips: Intel 945G Express Chipset, Mobile Intel 945GM Express series chipset, or

-Ati:radeon X1900, X1800, X1600, X1300, X850, X800, X700, X600, X550, X300, 9800, 9600, 9550 or 9500 series, All-in-wonder X1900, X1800, 2006 Edition, X800, X600, 9800 or 9600 series, Radeon Xpress, Xpress Crossfire, Xpress 200M, Radeon Xpress 200M, Mobility Radeon X1600, X1400, X1300, X800, X700, X600, X300, 9800, 9700, 9600 or 9500 series, or

Note that these are only recommended configurations, and you can still run Vista if your configuration is lower than the above list, just not achieving optimal performance or enjoying additional functionality. And if your hardware configuration fits the list above, you'll be able to run Vista seamlessly, including the Aero interface and all the new features.
