Click Next to enter the destination Folder screen, as shown below:

Click Next to see the installation Complete screen, as shown below, click Finish to finish the installation.

If you also see the following black and black Dos interface, please different worry, press ESC key to exit. Wait, we need to change the configuration file for Apache HTTP Server.

modifying Apache HTTP Server configuration files

After you install Apache HTTP Server, you will need to modify the configuration file.

The configuration file path for Apache is as follows:

C:Program Filesapache Software foundationapache2.2confhttpd.conf

For security reasons, it is recommended that you back up this file first.

Then use Notepad to open the file and modify the port settings.

Change the ServerName localhost:80 into ServerName localhost:8080.

Save the file.

Start Apache Service

After modifying the configuration file, you can start the Apache HTTP Server.

In the Windows Start menu, select Start--> all Programs--> Apache HTTP Server 2.2--> Monitor Apache Servers, click After you will see in taskbar there A small red icon, double-click the icon to open the Apache Service Monitor screen, as shown below.

Click the Start button to open the Apache Service.

Test Apache HTTP Server is running correctly

Htdocs is the default root directory for Apache HTTP Server.
