Windows XP prohibit access to Task Manager

We know that the task manager can find processes running in the system, and you can turn them off in Task Manager, so for example, important processes such as virus firewalls may be terminated unexpectedly, but if you can't pass "Ctrl+alt+del" This three-key method opens the Task Manager to solve the problem.

Here are two ways to prevent unauthorized users from accessing task Manager

Method One: Use the Group Policy Editor to set the Disable Access Task Manager

First use the administrator-level account to login the system, and then in the Start menu "Run" Enter: "Gpedit.msc" to open the Group Policy Editor. Locate the user settings \ Administrative Templates \ System \ctrl+alt+del option in the Group Policy Editor as shown in Figure 1.

Double-click Remove Task Manager on the right side of the page shown in Figure 1, and open the Remove Task Manager property settings page, as shown in Figure 2, Mangaer. Select "Open" on the page shown in Figure 2 and click "OK" to never use "Ctrl+alt+del" to open Task Manager.

Method Two: Use user restrictions to prevent access to Task Manager

Although the above methods can prevent access to Task Manager, this method does not prevent users to open by clicking on the task Manager directly, and can not use the "Ctrl+alt+del" combination hotkey to open Task Manager can also cause inconvenience to our normal use.

Here's how you can prevent unauthorized users from accessing task Manager by using user restrictions. In the system installation directory under the "System32" directory to find "TaskMgr.exe", right-click, select "Run as", open as shown in Figure 3 of the page.

As shown in Figure 3, select the following user (the following user) and enter a username and password. You can set up to run the task Manager with the above user. One thing to note is that the administrator-level username and password are used above.
