• Configuring the Environment

Windows version: Windows Server R2 Enterprise

Service Pack 1

System type: 64-bit operating system

• Configure the DNS server

This step is not required and can be installed on the DNS server at the same time when you install Active Directory Domain Services.

In view of the server configuration prone to some unknown small error, or early installation of the more worry ^_^!

(1) Open the lower left corner of the desktop Server Manager;

(2) Select the Left tree menu "roles" node and right-click "Add Roles".

• Configure Active Directory Domain Services

Start Menu--run and enter command "dcpromo" click "OK" button to enter the installation screen.

Pop-up the Active Directory Domain Services Setup Wizard and click "Next"

Select New domain in New forest and click Next:

Enter the domain name and click "Next":
