In the Windows XP era, users can resolve backup restores in a ghost way. But when the operating system into the Windows7 era, the use of Ghost way backup restore, obviously not as good as the system's own restore function. The problem is that after you enable System Restore in Windows7, it automatically creates a restore point (the default cycle is one day). The more restore points you have, the less hard disk space will be.
From this, we can consider to let Windows7 automatically create restore points more "intelligent" some, such as the system by default to create a daily, modified to every two days or three days to create once.
Little knowledge: Windows 7 restore points that are not the same
There may be other users who do not know that Windows7 by default do not automatically create restore points, you must manually open the related services can (want to know how to manually open? Please continue to focus on the Zol software ...)
Run the registry, and expand to the following branch: Hkey_local_machinesoftwaremicrosoft
Windows Ntcurrentversionsystemrestore.
Then in the right window to find and double-click "Rpsessioninterval", in the pop-up window you can see that the system defaults to "0" (unit seconds, Decimal, as shown in Figure 1).
Default value for Figure 1RPSessionInterval
For convenience conversions, select "Decimal" in Figure 1, then the value "172800" (do not enter double quotes), as shown in Figure 2:
Figure 2
In Figure 2, "172800" represents 172,800 seconds, which is two days. If you want Windows7 to create a restore point every three days, please enter "259200" in decimal. Analogy
In Ghost is not very suitable for Windows7, and Windows7 automatically restore the default settings is not very reasonable circumstances, by modifying the registry, to make Windows7 "intelligent restore" the purpose, at present, is a relatively good method.
