Believe that most friends have used the Win7 system, the Win7 system is more stable than other versions of the Windows system, but due to the installation of some special software or misoperation, the system will still have a variety of boot failures. Next, I will give you an analysis of Win7 common startup failure and how to solve the related startup failure.

Fault 1:MBR fault

Failure performance: A similar "press F11 start to System Restore" error message appears after the boot

Reason analysis: Many of the software, such as a key ghost, in order to achieve the priority to start, in the installation will often modify the hard disk MBR, so that the boot will appear when the corresponding startup menu information, but if such software has defects or incompatible with Win7, it is very easy to cause Win7 can not start normally.

Workaround: For repair operations on the hard drive master boot record (that is, MBR), you can easily resolve this failure using the repair tools that are Win7 the--bootrec.exe installation CD. The specific steps are: Start the computer with the Win7 installation CD, when the CD is finished, press the SHIFT+F10 key, pull up the command Prompt window and enter the DOS command "BOOTREC/FIXMBR" (Figure 1), and then press ENTER. Follow the prompts to complete the hard drive master boot record rewrite operation.

Fault 2:oxc000000e fault

Failure performance: When the system is not logged on, it will eject the oxc000000e fault prompt shown in Figure 2 directly.

Cause analysis: Due to the installation or uninstall of some of the more special software, often will cause very serious damage to the Win7 bootstrapper, so that Win7 at the start of the oxc000000e error, resulting in the failure to start the system normally. In this case, pressing the F8 shortcut also does not bring up the advanced boot menu for Win7, and of course you cannot perform the repair operation in safe mode.

WORKAROUND: In the cursor position of the window shown in Figure 1, execute the following five DOS commands sequentially (Figure 3,c disk is the system disk installed by Win7, same below):

C:

CD Windowssystem32

Bcdedit/set {default} osdevice boot

Bcdedit/set {default} device boot

Bcdedit/set {default} Detecthal 1

Tip: If you do not have Win7 installation CD-ROM, you can enter the WinPE environment to execute the above five DOS commands.

Fault 3: BOOTMGR is missing error on power-on

Failure performance: Every time the boot, there will be the error message shown in Figure 4, also can not log into the system normally. The error hint, translated into Chinese is bootmgr lost, press Ctrl+alt+del reboot.

▲ Figure 4

Cause Analysis: This is the most common cause of this startup failure, or because the Bootmgr file is actually missing, and one may be caused by a disk error.

Workaround: If the bootmgr file is missing, you can use the method of rebuilding the Win7 boot file to solve the problem. The procedure is to execute the following two DOS commands sequentially in the cursor position of the window shown in Figure 1:

C:

BCDboot c:windows/s C:

Then reboot the system, you can see the Win7 familiar boot menu, and then select the first Win7 menu options, after some initialization operation, we can normally use the Win7 system.

If the above steps still do not solve the problem, then the fault is likely due to disk errors caused by this time can try in the WinPE environment, run the chkdsk/f command, the fault can be well resolved.

Fault 4: BOOTMGR is compressed error when the boot occurs

Failure performance: This failure is similar to the "BOOTMGR is Missing", which also fails to log on to the system and only the "BOOTMGR is compressed" error message appears (Figure 5).

▲ Figure 5

Cause Analysis: This failure is caused by compression of the system disk.

Workaround: Start the system with WinPE, run its own command prompt tool, and execute the following DOS commands sequentially:

C:

CD Windowssystem32

compact/u/a/f/i/s c:*

After executing the DOS command, the command prompt tool starts the full decompression of the C-disk file and then restarts the system to log on to the Win7 system normally.
