The 5 super buttons, search, share, start, device, and setup are quick ways to use them to perform common operations, such as searching for networks and computers, printing documents, and e-mailing photos and links. They are always on the right side of the screen, regardless of where they are located in Windows.
Swipe inward from the right edge of the screen. Then click or click Search, share, start, device, or settings. (If you use your mouse, point to the upper-right corner of the screen, move the mouse pointer down, and then click Search, Share, start, device, or settings.) )
You can also press the Windows logo key +c to open the Super button.
Search
The "Search" Super button uses Bing's smart search, so you can search your computer, network, SkyDrive, and some apps and Windows app stores. You can search for one time to get results from everywhere and return to your search results without having to search again.
To search your computer, network, and SkyDrive, you can use Bing's smart Search
Swipe from the right edge of the screen to the middle and click "Search".
(If you use the mouse, point to the upper-right corner of the screen, and then move the mouse pointer down, and then click Search.) To turn on the search feature, you can also press the Windows logo key +s, or start typing while pressing the Windows logo key.
Enter a search term. As you type, you'll see a list of search results and suggestions.
If you see the application, file, or setting you want to find in the list, click or click it to open it. To see all the results of a search term, including all network results from Bing, click or click the "Search" button to go to the search results page. You can also click or click on one of the search suggestions.
On the Search results page, click or click the search results to open it.

Group your results by category and by source. For example, you can divide photos from your computer into groups, and you can divide photos from the web into one group. You will first list the results from your personal files on your computer and SkyDrive, and then list the results from your application and network. Thumbnails let you know what you're going to get before you click or click. To view all search results for a specific category, click or click the View all link for that category.
Return to search results page
If you turn on the search results and find that it's not what you're looking for, you can return to the search results page without having to search again. Using the touch function, swipe from the left edge of the screen. (using the mouse, move the pointer to the upper-left corner of the screen, and then click.) )
Narrow the search results
The search Super button automatically searches your computer, SkyDrive, and applications, files, and settings on your network. But you can search for only one type of result, such as settings or images on the network. In some applications, you can choose to search only the application.
Swipe from the right edge of the screen to the middle and click "Search". (If you use the mouse, point to the upper-right corner of the screen, and then move the mouse pointer down, and then click Search.) )
Click or click the arrow at the top of the search box, and then click or click the category you want.
Change Search Settings
You can clear the search history, choose how to share your search information with Bing, and change the secure search options for filtering adult content from search results. If you want, you can also turn off network searches to see only the results from your computer and SkyDrive (you might want to do this if you are using a billing Internet connection).
Swipe from the right edge of the screen to the middle, click "Settings" and click "Change Computer Settings".

Shares
The "Share" super button is a quick way to use it to share files, photos, and information with people you know without leaving your current application, or to save content for later viewing. You can share photos with only a few people at a time, share links with your entire social network, or send interesting articles to a reading list application so that you can read them later.
You can use the "Share" super button to share content in most applications. If you want to share content on your desktop, you can share files and photos by sharing them in e-mail or using SkyDrive.
Share files
In the application, swipe the item you want to share to select it. (If you use the mouse, right-click the item you want to share to select it.) )
Swipe from the right edge of the screen to the middle and tap share.

Click or click the person, application, or device that you want to share with, and follow the on-screen instructions.
Share Links
Open the application and find the site, article, or map that you want to share.
Swipe from the right edge of the screen to the middle and tap share.

Click or click the person, application, or device that you want to share with, and follow the on-screen instructions.
Change shared settings
You can change which applications are listed in the "Sharing" super button and how they are displayed.
Swipe from the right edge of the screen to the middle, click "Settings" and click "Change Computer Settings".

Click or click Search and apply, and then click or click Share.

Begin
Wherever you are in Windows, you can use the "Start" super button to get to the start screen. Alternatively, if you have reached the start screen, you can use it to return to the previous application you are using.
Open the Start screen by gently sweeping from the right edge of the screen and clicking Start. (Or, if you use the mouse, point the mouse pointer to the lower-left corner of the screen, and then click Start.) )
If you use the mouse, you can move the mouse pointer to the lower-left corner and click the Start button to return to the start screen.
Equipment
The device Super button allows you to quickly send files and information to other devices connected to your computer, such as printers, Xbox, mobile phones, speakers, televisions, or projectors. The list of available devices in the device Super button depends on the devices you have and whether they are connected to your computer. Using the Devices Super button
Open the application, and then swipe the item or file you want to send to the device to select it. (If you use the mouse, right-click the item or file to select it.) )
Swipe from the right edge of the screen to the middle and click on "Device".

Select one of the following options:
Stream video, music, or photo slides to other devices, such as televisions or stereos. Click or click Play, and then follow the instructions on the screen. For more information about how to set up playback, see Using play streaming media to transfer pictures, videos, and music.
Print a document, photo, or e-mail message. Click or click Print, and then follow the instructions on the screen. For more information, see How to print.
Project content on your computer, such as a presentation, slide show, or anything on your computer, onto a different screen. Click or click Drop Shadow, and then follow the on-screen instructions.
Set up
The Settings Super button allows you to quickly adjust some common settings such as brightness and volume, find computer settings such as personalization, user accounts, and devices, and change settings for the application you use.

Some common computer settings, such as volume, power, and network connections, are always available in the Settings Super button.
Swipe from the right edge of the screen to the middle, and click Set.

Tap or click the settings you want to change.
Change computer settings
You can change the personalization and settings of most settings in your computer settings (not control Panel), such as devices, user accounts, SkyDrive, network Connections, and languages.

Click or click the category of settings you want to change.
Change the settings applied
If you are using an application when you open the "Set" Super button, you will see the setting that lists the application first. Each application is slightly different, so the settings may be slightly different. If you are using the Start screen or desktop, you can personalize and change other options using the "Settings" Super button.
Open the application, or go to the Start screen or desktop.
