1, install "Internet Connection Sharing"

Before installing, make sure your LAN is connected and have a floppy disk ready. The Windows Internet Connection Sharing installation process is simple, and you can follow the instructions. 2. Installation Wingate

Software installation is relatively simple, all the way to enter, here is not more introduced. The server can use Windows 2000 or Windows 98, and it should be noted that different operating systems need to install the corresponding version of Wingate.

3, the Wingate configuration

After entering the Wingate interface, the main set of Wingate cache properties, the size of the cache is set to not less than 500MB can be used.

4, IE browser configuration

Run IE browser, open Internet Options, LAN settings, set up as shown in Figure 2, where our server IP address is 192.168 0.1, port is 80, confirm carriage return.

Once configured, we can simultaneously run Wingate and Windows Connection Sharing to complete the proxy server function. Use to put both into the startup directory, the server can be opened to run the use. Now we can use the Internet in QQ, Foxmail, cuteftp, network ants and other software. At this point, the server uses Wingate for the client to provide Web browsing services, and through windows with the Connection sharing for the client to provide QQ, mail, upload, download and other services. It is also important to note that if your server in the organization also serves as a LAN Web server, FTP server, mail server, such as using Windows 2000 IIS 5.0, after installing Wingate, you will find LAN FTP and LAN e-mail is not available, do not worry, You can use this after you complete the following configuration.

1, run the Wingate of the server, delete all the user servers in Wingate except the WWW proxy server.
