Symptom
When you start a computer, the following error message may appear:
Winmgmt.exe has generated errors and will be closed by windows. You will need to restart the program. An error log is being created.
This error message appears every 30 seconds.

This behavior occurs when the file in the % SystemRoot % \ system32 \ WBEM \ repository folder is corrupted. This error message is repeated because winmgmt.exe polls these files at intervals of 30 seconds to 60 seconds.

Solution to solve this problem, delete and recreate the file in the % SystemRoot % \ system32 \ WBEM \ repository folder: Right-click my computer on the desktop, and then click manage. In "services and applications ", Program ", Click Services, and then close and stop the Windows Management Instrumentation Service. Delete all files in the % SystemRoot % \ system32 \ WBEM \ repository folder. (Create backup copies of these files before deletion .) Open services and applications, click Services, and start the Windows Management Instrumentation Service.
