Server-side installation is WinWebMail3.7.3.1, before the mailbox are used normally, but the recent frequent occurrence of mail delivery failure, the first consideration is the reason for DNS.
In most cases, the failure to send a letter to an external (Internet) mailbox is due to improper DNS settings or the use of a DNS server that is not working properly. You can click on the lower-right icon on the server, and then select the service item in the pop-up menu to view the DNS server address that you set up (see figure below). Need to confirm:
1. Whether a DNS server address is set.
2. The DNS server address set is valid.
3. This DNS server is working correctly.
You can try these DNS addresses, or ask your local ISP service provider directly:
205.252.144.228
202.106.127.1
216.239.32.10
168.95.1.1
202.102.192.68
202.106.0.20
202.96.199.133
202.106.196.115
202.96.96.235
202.103.226.68
202.96.96.236
202.103.224.68
210.162.122.114
Solution:
1. It is a good idea to change the DNS address in this case (you must restart the Winwebmail service to take effect after changing DNS success).
2. Enter a different alternate DNS address so that when the preferred DNS Suspend service, Winwebmail will be able to automatically use the alternate DNS server to resolve and post the destination address, thus ensuring communication is unblocked.
3. In most cases, do not make a DNS server address for a single machine IP (such as: 10.96.0.1) within your LAN.
4. To verify that the selected DNS is functioning properly, you can ping the DNS address on the server, which can be considered to work correctly when you can ping it. Choose DNS with the shortest response time, as this can significantly increase the speed of outgoing messages.

Although all can ping, but more than half of the mail still posted timeout error, especially sent to Hong Kong colleagues in the mail all returned, error message:
Your message could not be delivered to the following specified address:
Xxx@xxx.com:dns lookup failed.
Helpless only select other DNS, but without exception, the message delivery timeout error.
Finally think of Google's DNS server 8.8.8.8,8.8.4.4.
The IP address of the preferred DNS is then changed to 8.8.4.4, which is very good and powerful. No thanks, Google.
