Tengda ww.r router settings-wireless encryption

The tengda ww.r router provides two interfaces for setting encryption, one for simple operation and the other for advanced settings.

Simple operation interface

Log onto the W316R router management interface to set encryption for the w R router, the default WPA-PSK mode, AES encryption rules, the password is 8 characters, the default password is 12345678 ,:

Advanced Settings page

1) log on to the W316R router interface and click "Advanced Settings" in the upper right corner.

2) on the Advanced Settings page, click "Wireless Settings" --- "wireless security" to go to the wireless security settings page ., security mode is disabled by default. To use security mode, you can enable it by disabling WPS and then set it.

We recommend that you use WPA-PSK AES encryption rules. Keep the default key update cycle .:

Tengda W316R router settings-bridge (WDS) settings

In this example, two WDS routers are used as bridges ).

Procedure:

1) log on to the W316R router interface and click "Advanced Settings" in the upper right corner,

2) on the Advanced Settings page, click "Wireless Settings"> "wireless Basic settings" to change the wireless working mode from the default "Wireless Access Point (AP) "select" bridge (WDS) "mode.

If you know the wireless MAC address of the remote tengda W316R router, you can enter the wireless MAC address of the peer in the ap mac address bar. you can also click scan to find the signal that the remote device sends to the W316R router. Click Enable scan to select the scanned signal and click OK. the MAC address of the corresponding wireless signal is automatically added.

After the vror is added, you need to follow the preceding steps to operate the other vror. The two vrouters can connect successfully after entering the MAC address of the other vromac.

Note:The WDS function requires two tengda W316R routers to support this function, and the SSID must be the same as that of the remote tengda W316R router.
