[Q]: I have two laptops with wireless network adapters. One laptop is connected to the LAN through a network cable and can access the Internet, thank you for your advice on how to connect another laptop to the laptop over wireless and access the internet.
[Answer]: There are many methods. Here is a very convenient method.
Step 1. Share the local connection on the laptop that can access the Internet, as shown in the following figure.
1. Select the local connection status, attributes, advanced, Internet Connection Sharing, and accept the prompt "192.168.0.1.
2. restore the original IP address and gateway settings of the local connection, such as Automatically Obtaining or setting it to 192.168.1.100, subnet mask 255.255.0, and gateway 192.168.1.1.
3. If the connection is successful, you can see that the local connection has been shared by the icon (with a small hand icon added ).
Step 2. Use the unlimited network card couplet of the two laptops and the laptop that can access the Internet as the gateway. The details are as follows.
1. Change the name of the "SSID" to 192.168.0.1, and set the subnet mask 255.255.0. The Gateway is empty.
2. Set the laptop to 192.168.0.2, subnet mask 255.255.0, and gateway 192.168.0.1.
3. Set the DNS server as the DNS server IP address of the corresponding carrier, for example, 202.101.172.35 for China Telecom.
4. Search for wireless signals, select the "SSID" you just set, and connect the two laptops to the Internet.
Note: The CIDR Block of the wireless network is not the same as that of the original wired network (in the above example, the wired network is 192.168.1. * and the wireless network is 192.168.0 .*).
If you can enable the DNS Client and DHCP Client Services of the laptop that serves as the gateway, connecting to the computer is as simple and convenient as connecting to a wireless router.
