There are many reasons for wireless network connection problems. Here we will explain in detail how to set network connection problems. Regarding poor wireless Internet access and poor wireless network connection, This article summarizes many issues, and provides detailed fault description and solutions. We hope that this article will help you solve wireless faults on your computer.

Wireless Network connection failure 1: Hybrid wireless networks are often dropped

Fault description: Linksys WPC54G nic and Linksys WRT54G AP are used to build a wireless LAN. They all use the IEEE 802.11g protocol, and there are still a few 802.11b NICs in the network. Frequent disconnection occurs when the WRT54G is used for 54 Mbit/s connection.

Fault Analysis: theoretically, the IEEE 802.11g protocol is backward compatible with the 802.11b protocol. devices using these two protocols can connect to the AP using the IEEE 802.11g protocol at the same time. However, from the actual experience, as long as there is a network adapter using the IEEE 802.11b protocol, the connection speed of the entire network will be reduced to 11 Mb/s (the transmission speed of the IEEE 802.11b protocol ).

Troubleshooting: when mixing IEEE 802.11b and IEEE 802.11g wireless devices, you must set the Wireless AP to the MIXED (MIXED) mode, it can be compatible with both IEEE 802.11b and 802.11g modes.

Wireless Network connection failure 2: wireless clients cannot receive signals

Fault description: After a wireless LAN is built, the client cannot receive the Wireless AP signal. Wireless Networks have no signal.

Fault analysis: the causes of the fault may be as follows:

(1) the wireless network card is too far away from the Wireless AP or the wireless router. It exceeds the coverage of the wireless network and is very weak when the wireless signal reaches the wireless network card, the wireless client cannot be connected normally.

(2) The Wireless AP or wireless router is not powered on or does not work properly. As a result, the wireless client cannot connect.

(3) When the wireless client is far away from the Wireless AP, we often use the targeted antenna technology to enhance the transmission of wireless signals. If the angle of the targeted antenna is faulty, the wireless client cannot be connected normally.

(4) If the wireless client does not correctly set the network IP address, it cannot communicate with the Wireless AP.

(5) For security reasons, the Wireless AP or wireless router filters out some MAC addresses. If the MAC address of the NIC is filtered out, the wireless network connection may fail.

Troubleshooting: You can use the following methods to solve the problem:

(1) install an antenna on the wireless client to enhance the receiving capability. If many clients cannot connect to a Wireless AP, install an omnidirectional antenna on the Wireless AP to enhance the sending capability.

(2) check whether the Wireless AP or wireless router works properly by checking the LED indicator, and use the laptop for a close-up test.

(3) If the wireless client uses an antenna, try to adjust the direction of the antenna to target the Wireless AP or router.

(4) set the correct IP address for the wireless client.

(5) view the security settings of the Wireless AP or wireless router, and set the MAC address of the wireless client to a trusted MAC address.

Wireless Network connection failure 3: Wireless Clients can receive signals normally, but wireless network connection failure

Fault description: Signal exists, but wireless network connection fails.

Fault Analysis: Why can't I connect wireless networks with signals? The cause of the failure may be:

(1) the IP address of the Wireless AP or wireless router has been allocated. When the wireless client is set to automatically obtain the IP address, the wireless network cannot be connected because there is no available IP address.

(2) the IP address is not set correctly for the wireless network adapter. When you manually set an IP address in the consumer, if the IP address and the IP address of the Wireless AP are not in the same CIDR Block, the wireless network cannot be connected.

Troubleshooting:

(1) Increase the address range of the Wireless AP or wireless router.

(2) set the correct IP address for the wireless network card to ensure that it and the Wireless ap ip address are in the same network segment.
