Without re-compiling php, add a dynamic module (taking the mbstring module as an example). 1. enter the mbstring directory in the php source code directory.
Cd/usr/local/src/php-5.2.4/ext/mbstring/
2. execute the bin/phpize file in the directory after php installation.
/Usr/local/php/bin/phpize
3. go to the php source code directory.
Cd/usr/local/src/php-5.2.4/
4. execute the configure file in the preceding directory.
./Configure -- prefix =/usr/local/src/php-5.2.4/ext/mbstring -- with-php-config =/usr/local/php/bin/php-config
5 make; make install
Install mbstring. so to/usr/local/php/lib/php/extensions/no-debug-non-zts-20060613/
6. edit php. ini and add a line.
Extension = mbstring. so
7. restart httpd.
Service httpd restart
(If it is in php-cgi mode, first kill all the php-cgi processes and then restart httpd)
After trying the above methods, I feel laborious and thankless. Because it is unclear, it cannot be compiled into mbstring. so. Finally, we found a php-mbstring rpm Package for CentOS on pbone to install it successfully. In any case, the rpm package is better than the above method.
