WOL * LAN Remote Wake-up command line method, wollan wake-up command line

Wol Remote Wake-up requires support from NICs. Currently, only wired networks are supported.

Here we will introduce the use of Wake On Lan Command Line.

Open cmd and CD to the file path for downloading wolcmd.

Command Format

Wolcmd [mac address] [ip address] [subnet mask] [port number] // you do not need to write if you do not know the port.

After the command is complete, you can remotely wake up. If any failure occurs, you can find the solution from the following points:

① Does the NIC Support Network wake-up?

② Whether the Remote Wake-up function of the NIC is enabled, go to the Device Manager> Nic> Properties> power supply to view

③ Whether the Enable Nic wake-up function is enabled for the motherboard

④ If the LAN has a router, does the firewall intercept it?

Note: If you force shutdown during the test, the next remote wakeup will fail. (The motherboard stores the wake-up function of the NIC in the NVRAM module. Abnormal power-off will cause storage failure)
