In Word 2007, users can set the background color for a specified cell or entire table in a Word table to make the table look hierarchical. To set the background color in the Word 2007 document table, the following steps are described:
Step 1th, open the Word 2007 document window and select one or more cells in the Word table that you want to set the background color to.
Step 2nd, switch to the Design tab in the Word 2007 table Tools Ribbon, click the Shading button in the table Styles group, and select the appropriate color in the open Color menu, as shown in the figure.

Tip: If the color in the Word 2007 Color menu color Panel does not fit as a table background, you can click the More Colors button to select a richer color in the Open Color dialog box, as shown in the figure.
