The
Find and replace feature is a common editing method in Word software that we can use not only to replace text but also to replace special characters, such as removing unwanted symbols from documents. In fact, the format class element is also a word to find and replace the indispensable important factor, if you can easily find and replace the document format can make our work easier. Here are two specific applications. The
quickly change picture format
Converts a special symbol class element to a format-class element, which is designed to make the special symbol class meet a specific formatting requirement to make the document more aesthetically pleasing to compose.
Scenario: For a document that mixes text with a picture, you sometimes need to unify the formatting of the picture (such as centering). The format-not-replace document effect is shown in Figure 1. If the number of pictures is less, you can manually modify, but encountered a large number of picture display class documents, modify the picture format is a time-consuming and laborious life, this is the best time to use this replacement form.
Press the CTRL + a key combination to select the entire document. Press the CTRL+H key combination to invoke the Replace tab in the Find and replace menu item. Click the Advanced button and the Advanced option appears. Position the cursor over the Find what item, first clear the original settings, and click the "Do not qualify" key to make all the pictures a Lookup object. Then click the "Special character" button and select "Graphics" in the Drop-down menu that appears, and the word "^g" appears in the "Find what" item, which is the shortcut key for "graphics." When the
setting is complete, click OK to press the key. After you return to the Find and replace settings bar, click the Replace All button. The final effect of the document is shown in Figure 2. The

replaces a format class element with a special symbol class element, which is the inverse of the first substitution form. The main purpose is to convert a particular form of content into any element in a special symbol class, in order to achieve the special requirements for editing the document.
Scenario: A picture of a company's logo is often required in some documents, and a single insert is obviously cumbersome, and this is where this replacement form is used.
Enter the word "Company logo" where you want to insert the picture during document entry. After the document is entered, replace the format of the word "Company logo" with "highlight" in the form substitution method of the first substitution. The effect is shown in Figure 3. Press the CTRL + C key combination to copy the design of the company logo picture.
Press the CTRL + a key combination to select the entire document. ByThe CTRL+H key combination invokes the Replace tab in the Find and replace menu item. Click the Advanced key, position the cursor over the Find what item, first clear the original settings, and click the "Do not qualify" key to clear the last formatting. Then the mouse clicks the Format button, select Highlight in the Drop-down menu that appears, and the Find what item appears empty, but it prompts the "format: Highlight" Word to indicate that the replacement is formatted with the highlight effect set.
Positions the cursor over the Replace with item, clears the original content first, and clicks the unqualified formatting key to clear the last formatting. Then click the Special Character button and select Clipboard contents in the Drop-down menu that appears.
The word "^c" appears in the Replace with item, which is the shortcut key for the Clipboard contents. When you click OK, go back to the Find and replace settings bar, and then click the Replace All button. The final effect of the document is shown in Figure 4. This enables you to quickly enter the company logo.
