Microsoft is now sparing no effort to build cloud services, and this week the Word Web Apps Web App has just added the ability to browse PDF documents. This provides greater convenience for those who do not want to pay for the full version of Office 2013 suits.
In an Office Web Apps Web Application blog article, Microsoft says the new feature is intended for users who use SkyDrive, Outlook.com, and Office 365. "PDFs in message attachments, or PDF documents stored in SkyDrive, can be viewed more quickly and easily in a browser without the device type or whether the PDF viewing software is installed in the device. In addition, SkyDrive users can convert PDF documents to Word documents in the word Web app for easy editing.
Microsoft was also ready to add a PDF view to the word Web app for SkyDrive Pro and SharePoint Online, but there were some problems during the implementation, so it was temporarily removed from the two online services and will be online again in the future when the problem is resolved.
