By setting up a watermark for the Word2003 document, you can make the original monotone Word document read-only and have a hint of meaning (for example, you want to highlight the copyright or importance of the edited Word document). The user can set a text watermark or a picture watermark for the Word document to set the text watermark as an example, as described in the following procedure:
Step 1th, open the Word2003 document window, click the "format" → "background" → "watermark" menu command in the menu bar, as shown in Figure 2010060901.

Step 2nd, open the Watermark dialog box and select the Text Watermark radio button. In the text text box, you can choose Word2003 text content (such as "Company Top Secret", "circulation", "sample", etc.), or you can enter text as needed.
In the font and size edit boxes, select the font and size of the watermark text, and set the color of the watermark text (the recommended setting is gray). Then select the Semitransparent check box and select the Italic or Horizontal radio button in the layout area as needed. Set Finish click the Apply button to view the effect, and then click the Close button when the effect is appropriate, as shown in Figure 2010060902.

Tip: After you complete the watermark settings, you can also click "OK" button to make the watermark background effective.
