When we use word2010, we usually see the nearest location in the file that shows us the recently opened document, which puts a security risk, how do we set up to remove the most recent location records, and look at the following methods:
1, we can in the "File > Advanced" to the "recent use of text" display number set to 0.
However, in the "Recent Location" column, you can still find the address where these files are stored.
How can you let Office2010 not save the nearest location? Look at the way we provide it.
Click the key combination "Win+r" on the keyboard to bring up the Run command window. Type the command regedit.exe, and then click Enter. If you eject the User Account Control window, allow it to continue.
After you open Registry Editor, locate the key value: Hkey_current_usersoftwaremicrosoftoffice14.0wordplace MRU
(in Excel2010, the corresponding key value is: Hkey_current_usersoftwaremicrosoftoffice14.0excelplace MRU)
In the right detail window find Maxdisplay, double-click to open. Select the cardinality as "decimal", change the value data to "0", and click "OK" to save.
After this modification, the "nearest location" column will no longer show the file save address. If you don't want people to know the files you've browsed recently, and want to hide the target location of the files, you may do so according to the method provided above.
