Printing supplies in office is very expensive, so in order to save paper as much as possible, we tend to use a sheet of paper both front and back (double-sided printing). After all, there are few printers that support automatic duplex printing, and in most cases printers do not support double-sided printing, and this time we have to manually set up double-sided printing.
The printer supports duplex printing when setting the method:
To check whether your printer supports duplex printing, you can view the printer manual or consult your printer manufacturer or do the following:
1, click the "File" tab;
2, click "Print";
3, under the "Settings", click "single-sided printing." If two-sided printing is provided, your printer is set to print on both sides.
Tip: If you print to a copy printing machine and the copier supports double-sided copying, it may also support automatic duplex printing. If you have more than one printer installed, a printer may support duplex printing, while another printer does not support duplex printing.
The printer does not support duplex printing and manually sets the Duplex method:
If your printer does not support automatic duplex printing, you have two options: use manual duplex printing, or print odd and even pages separately.
Print by using manual duplex printing
If your printer does not support automatic duplex printing, you can print all the pages that appear on the paper side, and then flip the paper over when you are prompted and reload the printer.
In Word2010, do the following:
1, click the "File" tab;
2, click "Print";
3, under Settings, click Single Sided printing, and then click Manual Duplex Printing.
When you print, Word prompts you to flip the paper over and then reload the printer.
Print odd and even pages
You can also print on both sides of the paper by performing the following steps:
1, click the "File" tab;
2, click "Print";
3, under Settings, click Print All pages. Near the bottom of the library, click Print odd pages only;
4, click on the top of the library "print" button;
5. After printing the odd page, flip the paper stack over, and then under Settings, click Print All pages. At the bottom of the library, click Print even pages only;
6, click the "Print" button at the top of the library.
