After you insert a picture in a Word2010 document, if the original picture changes, the user needs to reinsert the picture into the Word2010 document. With the "Insert and link" feature provided by Word2010, users can not only insert pictures into Word2010 documents, but the pictures in Word2010 documents can be updated when the original picture changes, as described in the following steps:
Operation Steps
1. Open the WORD2010 document window and click the Picture button in the illustrations group in the Insert Ribbon.
2. In the Open Insert Picture dialog box, select the picture you want to insert into the Word2010 document. Then click the Drop-down triangle button to the right of the Insert button and select the Insert and Link command.
3, the selected picture will be inserted into the Word2010 document, when the original picture content changes (the file has not been moved or renamed), reopen the Word2010 document will see the picture has been updated (you must close all Word2010 documents after the insert picture to reopen the Word2010 document )。 If the original picture location is moved or the picture is renamed, the most recent picture version is retained in the Word2010 document.
4. If you select the link to file command in the Insert Drop-down menu, the picture will not appear in the Word2010 document when the original picture location is moved or the picture is renamed.
