WORD2013 Cross-reference added endnote number, by looking for ^# replaced by [^&] way to add brackets, this method to add the brackets many times, this time there is a problem: After the "update Field" operation, the brackets disappear.
in Figure A, the brackets after "leaves" are added by hand, and the brackets after "^#" are replaced by [^&]; After the "Update Field" operation, the manually added brackets are still in, the substitution method adds the brackets disappear, B Again, after adding the brackets in the alternate way, the selection appears to be part of the field generated by the cross-reference, C, is that why the brackets disappear? I do not know, just my guess (¬_¬).
Manually add the way to solve this problem, another problem comes again??? The length of the paper, multiple references, multiple cross-reference endnotes, manual modification will be crazy {{{(>_<) }}. The following solution is self-pondering, if you find a better way to share to me Oh (☆_☆)/~~
Workaround :
To differentiate from other field codes, the cross-referenced endnote number number is set to superscript, as shown in D;
Press "ALT + F9" key to toggle field code, E;
Using the Replace method, enter ^d in the Find what field, the cursor is still positioned in the Find what column, set font to superscript in format, enter [^&]in the Replace with field, and then replace it, F.
After the replacement effect, the superscript after "out" appears in brackets outside the field code, G;
Press the "ALT + F9" key again to toggle the field code, add the brackets complete, the brackets are not included in the field code, even if the "update Field" operation, the brackets will not disappear, H.
word2013 cross-References add the endnote number for the reference, add the brackets by looking for ^# replaced by [^&], and the brackets disappear after the Update Field operation.
