to restrict document editing, follow these steps:
Step one: Open a document with Word2013.
Step two: Switch to the Review tab, and in the Protection option group, click the Limit Edit button.
Step three: In the Restricted editing task pane, which pops up on the right, "2." Edit limit the only allow this type of edit in document check box is selected, and then click the "Yes, start the Force Protection" button in the "3. Start mandatory protection" bar.
NOTE: If the constraint format can be selected, the check box before the "Restrict formatting to selected styles" in "1. Formatting restrictions".
Step four: Open the Start Mandatory Protection dialog box, select the protection method, where we can select the "password" mode, in the "New password (optional)" text box to set the password, and then in the Confirm New Password text box, enter a confirmation password, and then click the OK button.
Step five: Protecting your document is done, save the document.
