Workaround for Office installation failure

Office 2010 cannot install the following workaround:

Manually uninstall 2007, restart the host;

Then force uninstalling Office 2007 to perform the following steps:

1, press and hold the Winkey (Windows logo key) +r, enter%windir%/installer, return. Open the Installer folder.

2. Right-click the blank space on the right side of the window to view-more information.

3, to the Explorer menu bar, view, tick the status bar. This allows you to see the details of the file in the status bar at the bottom of the resource manager.

4. Click each MSI in turn to see the status bar for more information. Find the relevant files for each Office 2007, which may include related components such as word2007.

5. On the MSI for each office 2007, right-click and select Uninstall.

Office Source Engine Service

1, press and hold the Winkey (Windows logo key) +r, enter Services.msc, return. Open Server Manager.

2. Find Office Source Engine, right click, select Stop.

Office 2007 installation files and directories

1, press and hold Winkey (Windows logo key) +r, enter%commonprogramfiles%/microsoft Shared, carriage return.

2. Delete the Office12 and Source Engine directories

3. Press and hold the Winkey (Windows logo key) +r, enter%programfiles%/microsoft Office, carriage return.

4. Delete Office12 Directory

5. Press and hold the Winkey (Windows logo key) +r, enter%appdata%/microsoft/templates, return

6. Delete Normal.dotm and Normalemail.dotm files.

5, press and hold Winkey (Windows logo key) +r, enter%appdata%/microsoft/document building blocks, enter 2052 or 1033 folder

6. Delete Building Blocks.dotx file

7. Press and hold Winkey (Windows logo key) +r, enter%allusersprofile%/application data/microsoft/office/data return

8. Delete all Files

1. Press and hold Winkey (Windows logo key) +r, enter%temp%, return

2. Delete all Files

Cache files

1. In the Explorer: Tools menu-Folder Options-View-Advanced settings, click or tick the following:

Tick "Show system Folder Contents"

Uncheck "Hide protected operating system files"

Click "Show All Files and folders"

Uncheck "Hide extensions for known file types"

Click Apply

Click "Apply to All Folders"

2. Find the root directory of all local hard drives, locate the/msocache/all Users directory, and enter.

3. Delete all directories containing such words in this directory: 0FF1CE)-

Office 2007 Registry

1. Regedit

2. Browse to Hkey_current_user/software/microsoft/office/12.0

3. Delete the 12.0 sub-key

4, browse to the sub-key, delete the corresponding subkey

hkey_current_user/software/microsoft/office/12.0

Hkey_local_machine/software/micros
