Workaround for IIS publishing Web sites, intranet and extranet unreachable

A, turn off the firewall. Control Panel-windows Firewall-turn Windows Firewall on or off (not recommended)

B. Open: Control Panel-windows Firewall-Advanced Settings-inbound rules, find the "BranchCache content Retrieval (http-in)" option in the Inbound Rules window and enable this rule.

This is when remote users can access the site program through the Web site address, but if the remote user accesses the non-80 port of IIS, there will be an inaccessible problem because BranchCache content retrieval (http-in) only enables port 80.

You only need to add a new inbound rule and specify the port number as the port number for the site program, such as 8080.

Here's how:

In the left column of the Windows Firewall window, choose-Inbound rules, select New rule in the right column, and execute in the New Inbound Rule wizard window that pops up:

Port – Next – Select TCP and a specific local port, fill in the port number you want to open (fill in 8080, and of course, other ports) – Next – check "Allow Connection" – Next – Select all options:

Domain, dedicated, shared – next – fill in the name (fill in iis:8080 here)-Complete
