A software project planning is the start-up phase of a software project, which includes: determine the detailed project implementation scope, define the submitted work results, evaluate the main risks in the implementation process, develop the project implementation time plan, cost and budget plan, and human resources plan.
A key activity in the software project management process is to develop a project plan, which is the first step in software development. The goal of the project plan is to provide a framework for the project owner, it can reasonably estimate the resources, funds, and development progress required for software project development, and control the software project development process according to this plan. When planning, you must estimate the required manpower, project duration, and costs. Most of these estimates are made based on previous costs. The software project plan includes two tasks: Research and estimation. That is, the main functions, performance and system interface of the software project are determined through research.
The software project plan is the first and extremely important step in software development. It determines whether the project is worthwhile. Therefore, this step is related to the entire software development process, if the gap between the evaluation and the actual situation is too large, it is difficult to estimate the loss. Therefore, the feasibility study report and Software Project Plan are essential and are the cornerstone of the entire software process.
