How the world wide web works

When you want to access a web page or other network resources on the World Wide Web, generally, you need to first type the uniform resource locator (Uniform Resource Locator), abbreviated URL, or link to the Web page or network resource in your browser. The subsequent work is the server name part of the URL, Which is resolved by the Internet database with the domain name system distributed around the world, and the IP address (IP address) to be entered is determined based on the resolution result ).
The next step is to send an HTTP request to the server working at that IP address for the webpage to be accessed. In general, HTML text, images, and all other files that make up the web page will soon be sent to users one by one.
The next job of Web browsers is to display the content described in HTML, CSS, and other accepted files to users by adding images, links, and other necessary resources. These constitute the "Web page" you see ".
In general, WWW adopts the Client/Server working mode. The workflow is as follows:
(1) The user uses a browser or otherProgramEstablish a connection between the client and the server and send a browser request.
(2) After receiving the request, the web server returns the information to the client.

(3) After the communication is complete, close the connection.

World Wide Web standards

    • Uniform Resource Identifier (URI) is a universal system that locates resources such as web pages on the World Wide Web page.
    • Hypertext Transfer Protocol (HTTP), which specifies how browsers and servers communicate with each other.
    • Hypertext Markup Language (HTML) is used to define the structure and format of hypertext documents.

Personal Understanding: WWW is a virtual concept built on standards and resources. Resources are various files connected to all servers (Web servers) in the network, all these resources have unique uniform resource identifiers.

What is the relationship between the World Wide Web, browsers, Web servers, hypertext languages, and HTTP?

The World Wide Web is a huge space in which many people (Web servers) have some knowledge (resources ), we have assigned these resources a number (URI), so that when we want to know the knowledge of a, we can consult the number without finding B. People living in this space have the same language (HTML) for communicating with others. In this space, if we want to access the resources of a person, we need to use the telephone (browser) Dial-Up (URL) to access this person, this person will return the corresponding resources to you, at this time, your phone only needs to present these languages (HTML) as something you can understand. In the telephone line transmission process, the language must meet certain rules (HTTP)
