WPS 2005 Auto Compress picture function

In the use of WPS Office 2005, for the content and aesthetic needs, the user added some pictures in the document, found that only a few pages of content unexpectedly has more than 10M, the search is because the inserted picture has not been compressed, resulting in the entire file is very large.

WPS Office 2005 provides users with a very powerful "picture compression" feature that will greatly reduce the size of the document and facilitate communication. The following is an example of the function of a compressed picture in WPS text.

Start the picture tool bar

Start WPS text, open the file you want to work on, select any picture, and pop up the Picture toolbar, as shown in Figure 1:

Compress Picture dialog box option value selection

Click the Compress Picture button on the Picture toolbar to open the Compress Picture dialog box, as shown in Figure 2:

The options are set to the following meanings:

• Selected pictures: Only for the selected picture compression;

• All pictures in the document: Compress for all the pictures in the document;

• Web page/screen: Set the picture for the page/screen display mode.

• Print: Sets the mode that the picture is displayed for printing.

• Compress Pictures: Compress the pictures.

• Delete the cropped area of the picture: Remove the cropped area of the picture.

If the user wants to compress all the pictures in the document, select the all pictures in document radio button; If the WPS text document is used for on-screen display only, the user can set the page/Screen option in the change resolution option; If you want to further reduce the size of the document, you can also select Compress pictures and Delete clipping area of picture check box;

Complete picture compression

Click the OK button to close the Compress Pictures dialog box. Click the Save button to save the file, and the size of the original file will be greatly reduced. The following form provides a comparison of the capacity of a WPS file before and after compression:

Attention matters

The user backs up the original document before compressing it, because it reduces the pixel of the picture when it is compressed. Compressed documents facilitate transmission, uncompressed pictures for easy to display beautiful.
